Held on the third Sunday of each month in the English and Spanish services.

Volunteer
Meal Service
Hope for Our Neighbors in Need sponsors meal service for those who are
hungry on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturdays meals are
distributed at Tompkins Square Park in the East and at the church door
on 13th Street in the West. On Wednesdays and Sundays sit-down meals
are served in the West location. Volunteers are currently needed on
Saturdays and Sundays. To volunteer see Louise Fawcett or Amanda Block.

Youth Shelter
In connection with Sylvia's Place, The Church of the Village sponsors a
shelter for LGBT youth. Called informally Sylvia's East, the shelter is
located at 48 St. Mark's Place. The shelter accepts monetary
contributions to help offset the cost of maintenance. Please

Prayer Chain
We believe in the power of prayer. There are persons in our worshipping
community dedicated to praying for personal and corporate concerns
throughout the week. To join this group fill out the blue form found in
the pews on Sunday or contact Trudy Grove.
Choir
Add your voice to our worship services by joining the choir. Rehearsals
are on Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sunday at 9:00am. Anyone who enjoys
singing is welcome. See the Director of Music or any choir member after
service.
Listening Ministry
Has anyone ever told you that you're a good listener? Help for our
Neighbors in Need wants you for a new listening ministry among our
lunch guests. Please contact Amanda Block at apb_nyc@hotmail.com.
Daisy's Food Pantry
Daisy's Emergency Food Pantry offers groceries on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday from Noon to 4pm at the 7th Ave. entrance of the West
location. Current needs include baby and junior foods: cereal, fruits,
vegetables, meets, juices, and powdered milk or Parmalat. There is a
basket in the narthex of the church for your food gifts or you can
contact the church office to make a donation.
Inspire: Writing and Art Group
Meets Fridays 10AM to 12 noon at our West Village location. All are
Welcome! Supplies are provided you bring the talent! Refreshments are
served; each participant gets a bag lunch. Contact Amanda Block for

Meets 12 noon at our East Village location. Anyone interested in
